Operation type: Stocker In 1962, with a couple of Honolulu dairy partners, a group called Triangle 3 was started in Kona and that is where Don's Big Island ranching endeavors began. In 1982 the opportunity to take over Baker Paddocks arose and, partnered with a group of veterinarians, Waikoekoe Cattle Company was started. The company was founded that year and has been in operation ever since. The other partners have since retired or left the operation and Don and Becky Winters are the sole operators. The original Baker Paddocks were over 800 acres. They included what is now Waimea Country Club and several other parcels which have been sold.
